Infact the issue is, when we remove the access to end user for WEBI application from Launchpad, and the user tries to view a WEBI report, first we get Java version is out of Date, with options to Update, Block or Later.
When we select "Later" we get a JAVA error popup "ClassNotFoundException". com.sap.webi.ui.jrp.WebIAppletStartup.
When we click for details it displays a Java console popup with details like "Java Plug-in 10.40.2.43
Using JRE version 1.7.0_40-b43"
Not sure what is going on. Is JAVA 1.7 not supported with BOBJ 4.1 SP2. .
I have seen couple of SAP Notes
1867088 - For BOBJ 4.0 SP5 Resolution is Uninstalling all java versions and installing java 1.6_34 resolve the issue
1785652 = FOR BI 4.0 sp 4- Java 1.7 is not currently supported with BI4 SP04. Remove Java 7 and replace it with a recent version of Java 6.
